Don’t Let Your Child Miss Out on Our Center of Excellence Soccer Skills Program!

We know how important it is to give young players the best opportunity to grow, improve, and enjoy the game they love. That’s why our Center of Excellence Soccer Skills Program is designed to provide age-appropriate, development-focused training that helps children build the foundational skills they need to succeed—both on and off the field.

By participating, your child will:

• Develop essential soccer skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, and game awareness.

• Build confidence and teamwork in a supportive, fun environment.

• Receive expert coaching from our trained staff who focus on individualized player development.

• Prepare for higher-level opportunities

The program will be fast-paced, challenging all players and pushing them outside of their comfort zone. It is designed for the child who simply cannot get enough of the game!

Please ensure your child comes prepared with:

• Dark shorts and socks and a Grey or White Rush shirt (Grey or White if not Rush)

• Water

• A properly inflated size 4 soccer ball (we will use this for juggling)

• A readiness to work hard and participate fully in their own learning process

• A commitment to completing any soccer homework given

• Respectful behavior, including shaking the coach’s hand on arrival and departure

• A positive attitude

RU MILTON REC SMALL SIDED GAMES

Each week your child will get the chance to show off their new skills in a real game, which is always the most exciting part for them.

Playing 4v4 means every child is fully involved — they’ll get lots of touches on the ball, plenty of 1v1 battles, and lots of chances to dribble, pass, and score in a fun, stress-free setting. Because we use a simple diamond shape, the children also get to try out different positions, learning what it feels like to defend, attack, and support their teammates. Most importantly, they’ll be smiling from start to finish, enjoying the game with their friends, and building those all-important friendships that make football so special. At the same time, this format helps them grow in confidence, develop decision-making skills, and lay down a strong foundation that will support their long-term development as both players and teammates.

Our goalkeeping sessions are perfect for players who are curious about playing in goal or just starting their journey as a keeper. In a safe and supportive environment, we focus on:

-Basic techniques: handling, catching, diving, shot-stopping, and safe landings

-Footwork & positioning: learning to move quickly and cover the goal

-Distribution skills: rolling, throwing, and kicking to teammates

-Confidence building: developing bravery, focus, and decision-making

ADULT FOOT SKILLS 

 Rush Union is proud to announce an adults foot skills class.  When adults take part in foot skills classes, they not only improve their own confidence with the ball but also gain a deeper appreciation of what their children are learning. By experiencing the challenges of dribbling, passing, or making quick decisions in small-sided games, parents start to understand the game from a player’s perspective. This shared experience helps them support their children more positively on match days, as they will know how tricky it can be to master basic skills. It also builds stronger parent-child connections—when Children see their parents having a go, making mistakes, and learning, it reinforces the message that Soccer is about fun, effort, and growth rather than just winning. In the long run, adults who engage in these classes can become better role models and more supportive sideline voices, creating a healthier football environment for everyone.  See the game through your children’s eyes, and share the fun of learning together. It will help your understanding of the challenges players face.  Family Fun under one roof!
