The Junior Academy is our first step into grassroots soccer — open to all abilities and designed to spark a lifelong love of the game.

Our professional Rush Union coaches create a playful environment that will focus on ball mastery, movement, and small-sided games. Every child will have a ball at their feet, building confidence, creativity, and coordination.  We will enter the child's world!  We will focus on being playful and lots of play, which are so important in a child's development. We will take this journey of development with you and your child, and at certain times, the child will lead as they explore and experiment with finding their own solutions, there will be times our skilled staff will lead to offer support or even to extend and challenge the learning even further.

Sessions: 

• 6-week Spring program

• Sessions: Mondays  5:15 – 6:00 PM

• Session Dates: February 16, 23 March 2, 9, 16 & 23

• Players ages U5 (2021) & U6 (2020)

• Cost: $150.00

Game Play:

• Train-and-Play model: 20-30 min of activity + 2v2/3v3 learning through the game formats

Each session, players are mixed into small “pool play” teams for quick 10-15-minute games. The focus is fun and freedom — every player gets touches, goals, and decisions. We will play 2v2 to two goals, or 3v3 to two goals. We will modify the game to the child in front of us.

Why 2v2 and 3v3?
Because it’s all about the ball. Children learn faster with more touches, more goals, and more smiles. Every game is a mini-adventure in teamwork, problem-solving, and joy.

Our Promise:
We’ll teach and facilitate with energy, care, and purpose — helping every player take their first confident steps toward their World Cup dream.  This format is built for the child and will give children a wide range of movement capabilities, which are so important as they go through this special journey of sport and life. They will experience decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, different movement challenges that are age-appropriate and loads of fun as they master their body alongside mastering the ball.
