Volunteer to coach!
One of the most important assets of our Recreation program is our volunteer/parent coaches.  We do not use paid coaching staff to coach our 6U and older recreation players.  Without volunteer coaches, we can't have teams!

Rush Union provides a coaching curriculum to cover your practice sessions, coaching equipment, opportunities to watch our professional staff at open sessions, as well as personal visits to your practice location, upon request.

Note that volunteer coaches receive a discount on their player's registration fee.

As you register, please consider coaching.  Reach out to our staff to inquire about coach training and certification opportunities.  Anyone interested in coaching, please contact Steve Reid at sreid@rushunionsoccer.org

Practice schedules:
This is dependent on the program you register for and the volunteer coach of your team.  We are dependent on volunteer coaches, so we allow them to set their practice time and location.

Recreational Soccer - Brook Run Park
Dunwoody teams will practice at Brook Run Park or Pernoshal Park.  Home games will be played at Brook Run Park.  Recreation teams that practice at Brook Run Park usually practice on Mondays or Wednesdays 5-6pm or 6-7pm.
Please note that ages 6U and up may also be scheduled against other local clubs and programs and therefore play some games away.

Recreational Soccer - Pleasantdale Park
Practices can be held at local school and church fields as well as at Pleasantdale Park .  Home games will be played at Pleasantdale Park, if we get enough teams to do so.
Please note that ages 6U and up may also be scheduled against other local clubs and programs and therefore play some games away.

Uniforms and what else will my player need?
ALL players ages 6U and older are required to purchase the Rush Union Soccer full uniform kit.  You can order your uniform package from Krown Sports HERE.

The full uniform kit is $42.50 and includes the following:
Home Jersey: White
Away Jersey: Blue/Gray Stripe

Shorts: Blue
2 Pairs of Blue Socks
Cinch Sack

For safety, all players are required to wear shin guards.

Players should bring water to every practice and game. Additionally, all players will need to bring a soccer ball to practices.  Please put your name on your soccer ball!

Ball Sizing: 4U-8U = size 3;  10U-12U = size 4;  14U = size 5

We recommend the use of soccer cleats (NOT baseball), but they are optional.

This gear is available from most super-stores, sporting goods stores, or second-hand sporting stores, as well as through our uniform supplier.
